How It Works

Buyer and seller agree on a deal

The item, price and delivery details are agreed between the buyer and the seller.

Seller shares a Secure my deal link

The seller generates a secure payment link with the deal details and sends it to the buyer.

Buyer pays into escrow

The buyer pays securely through the link. Funds are held safely in escrow, and the seller receives nothing yet.

Seller delivers the item

The seller ships or hands over the item as agreed.

Buyer confirms delivery

The buyer inspects the item and confirms that everything is as expected.

Seller gets paid

Once the buyer confirms, funds release from escrow straight to the seller.

Need More Time? Add Inspection Cover

By default, you receive 1 day to inspect your order after delivery. If you need more time to evaluate a watch, a piece of jewellery, a coin, or an original artwork, you can add Inspection Cover at checkout.

Inspection Cover extends your window by 3 additional days, giving you a total of 4 days to assess your order before funds are released to the seller.

Inspection Cover is available for items purchased through the Thesouthmart marketplace and is added at checkout.

Key Things to Know

Funds are only released to the seller after delivery is confirmed and your inspection window closes.

Disputes must be raised within your inspection window. Once funds release, the transaction is considered complete.
