How it works

Buyer and seller agree on a deal

The item, price and delivery details are agreed between the buyer and the seller.

Buyer pays into escrow

A secure payment link is generated for the buyer. Funds are held safely in escrow, and the seller receives nothing yet.

Seller delivers the item

The seller ships or hands over the item as agreed.

Buyer confirms delivery

The buyer inspects the item and confirms everything is as expected. If not, they can open a dispute and the money stays held.

Seller gets paid

Once the buyer confirms, funds release from escrow straight to the seller.

The fine print

Key things to know

A 3% fee applies to each transaction made through Secure My Deal.
Funds are only released to the seller after delivery is confirmed and the inspection window closes.
Disputes must be raised within your inspection window. Once funds release, the transaction is considered complete.
Inspection Cover is non-refundable once the transaction is created, and only applies to items sold via the Thesouthmart marketplace.
All dispute decisions are final and handled in accordance with our Terms and Conditions.
